Moving name servers

Good morning all,

I am still working to move our DNS services over to djbdns and removing 
our old Bind servers. So far I have moved, or gotten clients to move, 
several hundred domains leaving only a few stragglers pointing their 
records to the old servers. (We changed the domain name of our DNS 
servers as well, a company identity thing.)

My question, as I work on these last few clients, is this. It seems to 
me I can simply change the IP of the name servers in the old domain to 
the IP of the new servers and immediately see the traffic leave the old 
name servers. Currently the old servers are ns[12].totallogic.com and 
the new servers are ns[123]auth.tls.net.

Checking with Register, NetSol, Tucows, and OpenSRS, they all use the 
FQDN of the authoritative server, no IP is entered into the management 
section.

Seems to me if I change the A record,

ns1.totallogic.com A 65.124.104.25

to the IP of ns1auth.tls.net,

ns1.totallogic.com A 65.124.104.30

I should be in business. Looking through my documentation it seems like 
it should work fine. Is my thinking completely messed up?
