OK, the dnscache and dnsblock (the other use of tinydns to blackhole unwanted domains) both were not running, as Snow Leopard upgrade killed user dnsrun designated to run them! I had to reapply the script, http://qmail.jms1.net/djbdns/djbdns-osx-dscl to recreate the users. It was not immediately clear from ps aux as the line for envuidgid line from ./run was always showing, while svscan tries to launch the service which fails at once each time for no user existed. They started right away when the users were created. Deleting existing users is clearly the fault of SL, trying to launch for non-existing user is the fault of DJB, and not noticing multilog missing from ps aux just happens!) Cheers, Alexy
