???  Is there some magical technique for determining that the username doesn't
exist prior to executing envuidgid?

Or running an svstat on the service directory and noting that the uptime
didn't exceed 5 seconds, or the error messages of "envuidgid: fatal: unknown
account xxx" that should have been appearing in the log file.
