Any assistance appreciated. One trick: sdb != DLZ SDB is the "old" BIND database interface. DLZ, I suppose you could say, is the "new" one. That said, the Fedora bind-sdb package "also includes support for DLZ" so it must be there somewhere. I reckon you're probably not loading the named.conf you think you are - the RH derived BIND packages have a habit of putting everything into /var/named/chroot, so you may want to look for /var/named/chroot/etc/named.conf (or symlink it back to /etc/named.conf) to get what you expect.
