Nice to see that you have followed the same approach as I did, I also 
tried strings on the various libraries. libdns has a few more dlz 
functions in it.

Initially I thought there must be an environment variable or a command 
line switch that turned on the DLZ stuff, but I can't find anything like 
that.

If it would throw some kind of error, then there would be something to 
follow, at the moment it is "looking for the black cat in the coal 
cellar at night" country :-)
