If anyone's interested in trying it, this is an OSX Homebrew
formula for it (just updated for 3.5 release):

Warning though, the formula needs to be installed using the
"--env=std" command line option, like this:

   $ brew install --env=std pdnsrec

Without that option, Homebrew silently changes the compilation
flags and the powerdns binary will crash ("Bus error") during
startup.  Thanks to Peter van Dijk and Jan-Piet Mens for
cluing me in to this flag-compilation-causing-crashes-problem. :)

If someone wants to improve the formula, so the --env=std
flag doesn't need to be passed, that would be cool.  The formula
could then be included in main Homebrew. :)
