I'm told the price is comparable to 10Gb IB, but the 10GB Ethernet data 
rate is 25% higher than 10GB IB, since Ethernet is 10Gb data rate and IB 
is 10Gb signalling rate, and both use 8b/10b encoding.

http://www.myri.com has pricing and other details.  NIC pricing starts 
at $795 and data rates exceed 9.8 Gb/s netperf tcp and iperf with the 
right motherboards.
