Re: Selecting boot adapter

Thanks for the help,
I ended up using sanbootcfg with Win2003. I did uninstall the boot
support from Microsoft. However, I did figure out how to select the
adapter for both the Microsoft boot support and sanbootcfg.

A. Sanbootcfg (XP and Win2003)
	1. Adapter must be enabled
	2. Assign a static IP address to the adapter. Any comments would
be great, but without a static IP, I could not get it to work.
	3. Re-run sanbootcfg setup.
	4. Reboot and change the ports.

B. Microsoft iSCSI boot support (Win2003)
	1. Enable the adapter
	2. Move the adapter to the top of the bind order (network
properties, advanced, advanced settings)
	3. Run iscsibcg.exe /verify /fix
	4. Reboot and change ports

C. RedHat 5.3
	1. My install hard coded the adapter information in the init
script.
	2. Not sure if iBFT is broken or ??? with RHEL 5.3. Comments?
Suggestions? iBFT support would be preferable.
	3. To change ports, unpack initrd.img and change the MAC address
and alias to the new port to boot in the init script
	4. Ensure that the adapter is not configured for DHCP in the
networking scripts
	5. Ensure that the adapter is set to enable at boot
	6. Reboot and change ports

sanbootconf should work on Win2003.  You should probably either install
the MS 
iSCSI initiator without selecting "Enable iSCSI boot support", or just 
disable the iscsibp.sys service manually.
