Good day Ron, Your strange DHCP timeout issues remind me of a situation where multiple PXE services are racing, and one provides incomplete parameters to gPXE. With PXE-booting, you've got roughly three scenarios: 1. DHCP provides all needed parameters for a PXE-booting client 2. DHCP and a PXE service live on the same box, where DHCP basically says, "Ask me for more PXE-boot-specific details on UDP 4011" 3. DHCP lives on one box and PXE-boot-specific parameters are given by a PXE service listening on another box The race-like/random timeouts you are getting might be possible to understand by either tcpdumping/Wiresharking on the same wire (mirrored switch port or hub), or enabling DHCP debugging in gPXE with: cd gpxe/src/ make DEBUG=dhcp bin/undionly.kpxe - Shao Miller ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Let Crystal Reports handle the reporting - Free Crystal Reports 2008 30-Day trial.
