Good day lincoder, In regards to your timeouts around the time of reaching the login screen from a SAN-boot of CentOS: Since you mentioned you have the computer attached to multiple networks, are you quite certain that your routes are set correctly? Is it possible that the NIC which connects your CentOS to the SAN is not being used once routes are set up?
