I also don't understand why networking in WinPE 3.0 works and why it doesn't in WinPE 2.1.(assuming you used the same machine for both tests, with both WinPE versions using the same MAC address). Please tell us the MAC address used by WinPE. That way we can check if WinPE is really using a reversed MAC address, or if that one is actually the correct one.
