Hello all, I am having trouble getting gPXE and Symantec Ghost to work together. I have found a few instances of this problem while searching the web but no resolution has been provided. Using the Symantec Ghost Boot Wizard I generated an image (.sys) file configured as: Pre OS: PC-DOS Image Type: TCP/IP Network Boot Image NIC Driver: Universal Packet Driver v2.0 Then I generated a PXE menu using the 3Com Boot Image Editor and added the Ghost image I created to it. This setup works well with every NIC I can find that has a ROM PXE boot option. The PC boots up, finds the PXE server, downloads the PXE menu, I select the image, downloads Ghost image, and executes it. When I boot using gPXE 0.9.7 everything works up until the Ghost image executes. As soon as the Images executes it throws an error stating “Error, the Keep BASE setting in this image can only be used with an MBA 4.x or ROM PXE”. Using the 3Com Boot Image Editor I made sure that “Keep Base Code” is not selected. Does anyone have a solution that will fix this problem? I can’t change the deployment process so I need to figure out how to get the Ghost Image to work with gPXE. Thanks. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Come build with us!
