Re: echo not echoing?

In regards to 'echo' not producing output within a gPXE script: It's
good your problem is resolved.

gPXE 0.9.7 had a problem with DOS-/Windows-style newlines.  This was
patched by gPXE's lead developer some time later during 0.9.7+.

I sometimes find it handy to use 'bvi' or some other hex-editor when a
real mystery quirk with gPXE scripts comes up, especially when I
produced the script from a web server CGI or something other than 'vi',
in general. :)

If you still have your old copy which malfunctioned, you could have a
hex-view of it, and see what was happening.
