MSN resurrects removed contacts (due to RL?)

My contact list is a big honking unwieldy mess, with many people who no longer need to be on it. If I remove them, then next time I sign on (and they're online), MSN says "[email protected] has added you to their contact list. They are now on your contact list, in the 'Unknown' group." Normally this is all well and good, but, if I've removed someone... I don't know, could we have eb-lite record a residual entry along the lines of "yes I know this person has added me and I haven't added them back, but leave it that way" or similar? Otherwise it seems impossible to remove a contact. Obviously, if such a contact was to actually message me, I'd want it to apply the current behaviour and add them. Also, this might apply to other protocols, not just MSN. If this was fixed recently, sorry.
