AOL V 8.0 and Win version of EB

Greetings:

Yesterday and today I tried to communicate with an AOL 8.0 User.

- In Everybuddy, the user can see me logged on as an AIM User.

- When she sends me a message, I can see it but when I attempt to respond, 
I am told "User is Off-line," and my message does not get through.

- If I switch to the standard AIM client (actually "AIM+") I can 
communicate with the User... she sees my comments, and I see hers.

Any ideas?
