This is an irritating known issue. Sign off and then sign on again with your MSN account, and if this doesn't fix it, make sure you are signed on and delete and re-add the buddy, which will fix the problem. Normally, I'd say I was going to fix this, but I'm currently going hell-for-leather on EB-lite, which is coming Real Soon Now...
