EB proper: No clue. Probably dead.

EB-lite: Not using CVS. Instead, we use Subversion, a more advanced (although 
somewhat, *ahem*, beta-quality) repository system. I'm still feeling my way 
around it, though, so I'm not sure how to do anonymous access. However, I 
will do nightly tarballs once the website is relocated. This will happen 
*directly* after finishing this email, NTL willing. I promise that my next 
post will be an announcement of the new site. Honest.

It hasn't got all of EB's features yet, but it's nice and stable and is 
progressing nicely. It also has all the fun network transparency stuff 
(disconnect a UI, it carries on holding messages etc, connect a new one,

Profiles are only currently supported for AIM accounts. I'm guessing you 
don't have any of those registered. "Profile" is a bit misleading - it's just 
user info. This will be implemented in a different (and much more consistent) 
way for EB-lite.

Ctrl+O, leftmost button on the toolbar. Turn it on, you can send offline 
messages.

EB-lite doesn't "do" the offline thing for the time being, although that's 
more a UI thing than anything else (Chris!). Profiles aren't yet supported, 
although they'll be fairly simple to do.
