The real problem is that as far as the core is concerned, there are no "conversation" sessions. Messages just come and go - whereas in old EB, a conversation could be clearly delineated by when a user opened and closed the conversation window, there's no such construct in eb-lite. So - how do we divide up logs? You can't really expect to transfer the entire log at once over to the client machine if they just want to look at a specific bit, and in any case they would just have to separate it anyway - individual logs get too big. The other challenge is transferring logs to the client machine. Currently, GUIcomms parameters are limited to 16k, but that could change. Or we could just encapsulate a stream as a series of packets.
