Updating RPM in Mandrake

Hello,

I've DLed the latest version RPM from the Everybuddy website but when I run 
RPM -Uvh I get an error that  v 0.2.1-0beta6.6mdk is already installed and 
is *newer* than the v 0.4.3-4 that I'm trying to install.

Huh?  I'm running Mandrake 8.2 if it matters.  Any idea on why I get this 
error and how to correct it would be much appreciated.
