Re: Updating RPM in Mandrake

a) uninstall the old version first (using gnorpm or kpackage is easier than 
on the commandline)
b) use rpm --nodeps so it won't check dependencies.  Again, if you use 
gnorpm or kpackage to make things easier, they're GUI's for RPM management.
