Compile problems

Hi,

I'm using Mandrake 9.0, and I get the follwing error several times
during make for alpha7:

gcc: unrecognized option `-no-cpp-precomp'

The only error on ./configure says I should install "libltdl - which
comes with the libtool-libs package.", but as I read it, that is not
necessary.  I believe I had the same gcc errors last time I tried to
install (alpha 4 probably).  eb-lite and ebqt both run ok, but i can't
sign on.  With alpha4, I would appear online, but did not ever receive
messages.

Is there anything else you need to help me?  Might there be a problem
since I'm not uninstalling previous versions?
