That means it can't find the protocol modules, which isn't entirely 
surprising given that Cygwin does not support dynamic linking (at least not 
too readily). Try ./configure --with-static all to build all the modules 
straight into the core.

There is no native Win32 UI yet. In fact, the Qt interface is currently the 
only fully-featured one. Chris has succeeded in getting it to compile with 
libx11, and I think has modified it so it should work straight-off now (if, 
that is, you have Qt). Edward has mentioned that he intends to do a GTK one 
sometime, which should have a windows version. Unfortunately, it's not going 
to happen for a while. You could test the core by running a UI on a UNIX 
machine and connecting it remotely, if you want.

Ideally, of course, we would get either a properly-native Win32 UI (in VB or 
C# or something) - either that or someone ponies up a few thousand for a 
windows Qt licence :-P
