To me this says ebqt needs command-line options to give the address to connect to, the port, the cookie (or instruction to read the cookie from a given file or the default file), then when these are given it can attempt connection immediately. I'll add these soon. Then there can be a wrapper script "everybuddy" which launches the core, perhaps waits a second, and launches ebqt. Also, people with exotic setups can still have shortcuts that launch ebqt and connect to their core.
