You don't set the content's width. You just set the margin, eq. it should start
where the nav bar is finished.
That's how the creator of my site (the initial Design is not by me, but I think
it's done in a very nice way)

I know it was just a tought: the images has a certain width anyway, so why not
use the same for the whole nav bar?
But you're right it's not very nice to do it this way.

A little correction: I'm using Opera 6 and it worked flawlessly.
