Re: Sound Crash (was Re: Hello!)

Hi!

I didn't have much time to check all the stuff with and without APE  
separately, but currently I haven't installed it, so the crashes I  
had were all without APE running.

I scanned through all my crash logs and noticed that it always  
happens, when disconnectAllUsersWithService was called. Sometimes I  
did it manually with ShiftCmdK, sometimes it crashed without manually  
doing something, I think this method also gets called when a services  
kicks me out due to a connection loss, right ?

On Panther, I sometimes heard about 20 doors getting shut when I  
disconnect all users and the speach utility tries to notify me about  
all them at once or shortly after each other with aborting the  
previous speach after a few miliseconds ( like "A... B... N.... ....  
has logged off!").

In Tiger, I did not really have the chance to hear that. Mostly I  
hear one door getting shut, and the last name in the list "... has  
logged off"-speach, or I hear the door getting shut by half and then - 
 > crash. The problem seems to be that he wants to abort a previous  
speach event before it even started or something ?! Or he tries to  
speak too many things simultaneously.

I have a dual g5, maybe something happens to fast after each other  
and in tiger the way how speach stuff works got even faster or  
whatever (or the blocking time of the methods got less). I will check  
if that crash also happens on my g4 powerbook which is much slower  
(and of course has only one cpu ;-) ).

It always happens when the "door"-sound comes. I hear the beginning  
of that door sound and than it crashes.
