Yeah, yeah, they've been "in the process" for about two years now, and
it's only gotten worse, even with the new hardware they've introduced so
far.

Some may argue you get what you pay for, but I personally think the SF
guys are a bit unable to cope with the ever-increasing load, since they do
things like NEVER delete projects which are multiple years old and have
never put a single file in CVS or on the web interface...they lack the
ability to cull properly, and I don't think this is going to change...it's
a management mentality that's severely broken. The core developers of
sf.net projects are, as you said, somewhat insulated and sometimes fail to
understand how frustrating it can be to not be able to check ANYTHING out
from ANY SF.net project for over three days straight.
