Preferences > Icons (just a lucky guess on my part 8'P) > and then 
uncheck show service icons.  I guess the name is still left over from 
when Fire didn't do Buddy Icons and just displayed a service icon next 
to each name.  On that same note, perhaps this could be updated to have 
a parenthesis after it saying "(Buddy Icons)".  Hope this helps you.
