two Jabber accounts are incompatible?

I have two Jabber accounts in two different Jabber servers, say A and B.

If Fire is connected to A and tries to connect to B it succeeds, but A 
goes automatically offline. If I connect the other way around, first to 
B and then to A, it happens the same, the B goes offline when I enter 
A.

At the same time there's a MSN account online and this one remains 
online just fine.

Is this a known issue? Am I doing something wrong perhaps?
