I don't remember precisely, but I believe I did as I often do, which  
is to find these things through download.com.  Since I've only had  
this computer about four weeks, I thought I was downloading the most  
recent version. When it didn't work, I just disabled the auto-connect  
for MSN and went about using Yahoo and AIM. I got busy doing other  
things for a while, and then I thought to ask here how I might fix  
the problem.
