This behavior is most likely related to the behavior some people are seeing where Yahoo stays in "Connecting" mode forever and never gets you logged in. Since Yahoo changed their server software, we have noticed a marked increase in the number of times that the yahoo server will drop the connection. This shouldn't happen, but there appear to be bugs in their server software. I am in the process of making some changes to our Yahoo implementation to better detect when this has happened and restart the connection. This will be available as part of our Fire 1.0 release.
