Feature idea: Copying buddies

I noticed today that there is no option to "copy" a buddy from the edit
menu. It struck me, as I sent a friend another friend's ICQ UIN#, that
the ability to just select a buddy and copy their user-ID might be
terribly useful. However, I'm not sure if that's the best result of a
copy command, as you might expect the whole buddy record to get copied
rather than just their user-ID. (Although I have no idea why this would
be useful, as you'd just be able to paste it back into the same buddy
list, whereas a user-ID copy could be pasted into an email, or a group
copy/paste could serve as a backup of the buddy list.)

Does anyone else think this would be a valuable feature? Would there be
other behavior best associated with this?
