I think... I have everything working. I had cleared out prefs files a couple of times, but not lately, so on recent attempts, Fire was probably still flinging old, long-deleted buddies back up to the AIM server. Tonight, I cleared fire.plist and FireConfiguration.plist, signed on with the AIM client, and re-deleted some phantom buddies that had come back, plus some more for good measure, then tried Fire 0.99.3 again. I'm down to 83 buddies... pared a little tighter than I'd like to have, but if part of the problem was Fire's resynch attempts putting me back over 200 on each launch, drastic measures were needed. I'll see what happens if I add a couple of users here and there. Meanwhile, I hope you guys can figure out what's happening when Fire tries to connect to AIM and resynch a buddy list that's bigger on the client end than on the server end, so this won't bite anyone else. :-) As always... let me know if I can help with testing. I can always easily get my buddy list back up there in size! ========================================================================== Mark H.
