I was able to do this just as well in OmniOutliner, though it didn't want to save the file with ".plist" as the extension. I let it do what it want, then renamed the file. I'm now happily using Fire 0.99.3 on BOTH my laptop and my work desktop, and all will be back to normal soon. (Gee, just as I was getting used to iChat's oddities!) Thanks, all, for the tips. And, again, I'm happy to do any testing that would be useful on why most of my buddies were getting blocked before yesterday. ========================================================================== Mark H.
