Thank you! This was exactly the info I needed. I was able to do this 
just as well in OmniOutliner, though it didn't want to save the file 
with ".plist" as the extension. I let it do what it want, then 
renamed the file.

I'm now happily using Fire 0.99.3 on BOTH my laptop and my work 
desktop, and all will be back to normal soon. (Gee, just as I was 
getting used to iChat's oddities!)

Thanks, all, for the tips.

And, again, I'm happy to do any testing that would be useful on why 
most of my buddies were getting blocked before yesterday.
