Having UPnP on in our NAT box or router will make the MSN file transfer 
possible.  Otherwise, you have to follow the instructions in our FAQ 
at:

One of the key difficulties we have been facing with file transfer is 
that many services have the option of doing this via a direct 
connection between two clients.  However if both of them are behind NAT 
routers, that type of connection can be difficult, if not impossible to 
establish.

We know that there are bugs in file transfer.  (Yahoo will occasionally 
corrupt a binary file on upload for example) and we are working to get 
those fixed.  Just for everyone's information, as you report bugs about 
File transfer, please be specific and include the following:

- Which Service are you using
- Was Fire sending or receiving
- Are you behind a firewall, NAT box?
- Is the other party in the conversation behind a firewall or NAT box
- What error messages do you see in dialogs or in the Fire Console

With this information we will have a better chance of determining the 
nature of the problem so it can be addressed.
