I just finished an article describing a rather revolutionary improvement=20
to Freenet's operation - here is the opening paragraph:

'While Freenet has come a long way since my 1999 paper, the fundamental=20
ideas behind how Freenet finds information have changed very little. Now=20
that Freenet is maturing it is time to re-examine the core Freenet=20
architecture to see where it can be improved. This new design is known=20
as "Next Generation Routing".'

In other news, it is now possible to "subscribe" to Freenet. This=20
basically means that instead of a once-off donation you can make regular=20
monthly donations of $5, $10, or $20 though Paypal. This is better for=20
the project since it gives us a more reliable monthly income and helps=20
us to plan for the future.

If you feel you can contribute - either through a subscription or a=20
once-off donation, please visit our donations page here:

Many thanks,

Ian.
