Yes. Freenet has its own algorithms which do exactly that. It's called
FEC, or redundant splitfile support. It happens within a single large
file - you insert the file, plus another bunch of check blocks 50% of
the size of the file, and then to fetch it successfully you need to
fetch any group of blocks the size of the original file. This is all
handled transparently.
