freenetproject.org has been freenetproject.org for a *long* time.  It's pretty
well connected, as far as I know.  Although, Tiki (using PHP) redirects the home
page to /tiki-index.php, which hampers that I'm sure.

No.  The site was just moved a couple of months ago to it's current Tiki form
from Twiki.  Twiki sucked.  It'd be nice to see the site hand coded, but it
wouldn't be very maintainable.  The idea with the Tiki is, of course, to allow
any and all to update information on the site where and when needed.  Hand
coding, while nice, would have to implement the wiki style open-ness.

Ugh.  I think most new users probably come from those crowds, but it'd be nice
to attract more of the "free as in freedom" type, rather than the "free as in
beer" type that file sharers seem to be, by and large.  I, for one, only ever
use file sharing networks for the free as in beer reasons.

More nodes is more nodes, I suppose.

Perhaps because of the recent site redesign.

What kind of web development skills do you have?  Do you know anything about
Wikis?  If you'd want to undertake the forming of a new site design (to include
the wiki) I'd be in for helping.  I have the time, I have the energy, and the
rest of the freenet project seems to be open to considering change.
