In today's world of residential gateways and Windoze "Internet Connection
Sharing", the original 1-1 mapping between IP addresses and physical hosts
is breaking down. It would be nice if the "mast" device could help to
unscramble this problem. I've recently mentioned the idea of masquerading
the IP address of remote packets into an address range specified on the
local machine, so as to uniquify the remote IP addresses. Of course this
only works for protocols that *have* an IP address. And that will stand
for us monkeying with it (letting out AH).
