configuration of addresses on ipsec0.

hi
i am facing a problem w.r.t configuration of addresses on ipsec0 dev.
at the time i  give the command ipsec setup start, there are multiple
addresses configured on eth0 device. but pluto configures only one address
on ipsec0 device which is the first address in the list.
all the addresses are valid globally routable unicast addresses.
another problem  is that when router advertisements are recieved it
configures the any new prefixes over ipsec0 and not on eth0.
what could be happening ?
