Thank you for the hint.  I'll have a look there as well.  I wonder if 
there are openswan binaries compiled for the Zaurus readily available.

Good to hear you have a Zaurus too.  I am still running Sharp ROM 3.13 
and will not be able to deviate too far from it, maybe I'll try 
theKompany ROM but I definitely need a Sharp based ROM or otherwise I 
will loose the Japanese input method and that is what I bought the Z for.

whack: Pluto is not running (no "/var/run/pluto.ctl")

The only process identified is the grep process itself.
