Patches would be very welcome, but before someone starts on this I would like to have a Mumble to discuss the design details with them. In fact, we probably should write a somewhat more proper plan/specification first, but as Martin said: we're currently swamped, so I can at most commit to giving initial high-level input into a spec/plan and then helping review it, but I wouldn't even commit to writing the spec this year.
