No, the Gnutella protocol has reached some level of maturity nowadays.

Nonetheless, there are things that I'd like to work on when I get some free
time, and this includes DHT support. Unfortunately, I'm not all that happy
with the level of documentation provided by LimeWire.  Don't get me wrong,
they documented some important parts but some things are still fuzzy.

I don't know why LimeWire has stopped being active here.  Probably because
they think that since there is no commercial competition anymore, it is
no longer worth the effort.  Or perhaps they no longer care about inter-
operability with anything that is not LimeWire?  Or they just ran out of ideas,
or got tired of having to discuss things when they can just implement
something on their own?
