That's our primary :barrier -- memory constraints. gtk-gnutella has no problems withstanding 50 ultrapeers and 300 leaves. My ultranode uses about 250 MiB of memory under these settings. CPU usage is ridiculously small, about 10% of a 2.8 GHz processor. But naturally gtk-gnutella is written in C and we have far better control over memory than Java, for instance, which is a memory hog. Raphael
