gtk-gnutella has no problems withstanding 50 ultrapeers and 300 leaves.
My ultranode uses about 250 MiB of memory under these settings. CPU
usage is ridiculously small, about 10% of a 2.8 GHz processor.

But naturally gtk-gnutella is written in C and we have far better control
over memory than Java, for instance, which is a memory hog.
