Actually, Occitan is the eight minority language in France.

The second one is English (about 26% or 27% of residents in France can =
now
speak English at least as a secondary language due to their origins or
because they learn it at school and exposition to English is quite =
high).
Those that speak English as their primary native language are about 4 to =
6%.

It is followed, in order, by:
Auvergnat (2.2%), Italian (1.7%), Portuguese (1.2%), Breton (0.8%), =
Corsican
(0.6%); Occitan (including Proven=E7al) and Gascon represent each 0.4%, =
and
Catalan 0.2%; Dutch and Basque both have around 0.1%.

I have no digits about Alsatian (a regional variant of Alemanic, with =
the
family of High German languages). But if you live in Alsace, you'll be =
much
more exposed to it than to Breton.

I have no figure about Arabic and Berber, but they must also come before
Occitan...

If you take only the semi-official regional languages of France, then
Occitan is the 4th one, representing about 2600 native persons speaking
Occitan as their primary language (decreasing fast). Those that speak it
only as a secondary language are much more frequent and may reach more =
than
1 million, but I have very serious doubts about your figure of 2 =
millions
(and they speak French as the primary language, because it is mandatory =
at
school and in most exams).

millions of people as their native primary language (and often the only
