well you've got me there, you're right, that's what you did ask and I = misunderstood. curse my optimism for thinking we were for a second = talking about what software does instead of what it does not do. I also = made numerous typos on my other reply to Nuno so let's nip that in the = bud too while we're here; it's now Saturday afternoon where I am and = that means I'm distracted, more on that later, so this is probably my = last thought on the subject. to answer your question correctly, no I do not expect any client to = render my Gopher map correctly and you can find me on record saying = exactly that. but now we're dancing around the real point: that there's no discussion = about Gopher on the Gopher mailing list. there wasn't for months. now, to my distraction, I have a four year old daughter and this is = going to blow your mind. she goes to a public preschool, a melting pot = of cultures and languages, some of her best friends barely speak = English. but you know what I did catch her talking to them about? = daddy's Gopher space. so, in recent months, a flock of cackling = preschool girls are talking more about Gopher in than the Gopher mailing = list. I'll drop the argument now because I got what I wanted. despite the = Gopher mailing list's mailman setup being broken, the archive still = works so now it's committed to communal memory how little the Gopher = mailing list actually cares about Gopher, a protocol that despite the = contrary wheezing I hear from the infirmary, I do deeply care about. I look forward to having the same conversation when you all rise from = your tombs next year. regards =E2=96=88=E2=96=84=E2=96=80=E2=96=84=E2=96=80 cat K. =E2=96=88=E2=96=80=E2=96=84=E2=96=80=E2=96=84 B 4 U D W 3 R K 5 _ =E2=96=84=E2=96=84=E2=96=80=E2=96=80=E2=96=80 +1 (929) 601-BAUD > On 15 Nov 2025, at 11:02=E2=80=AFAM, Sean Conner <sean-/[email protected]> = wrote: >=20 > It was thus said that the Great cat K. once stated: >> glad you asked!=20 >>=20 >> phetch (CLI) >> https://github.com/xvxx/phetch >> this client will render it as I intended without fail. >=20 > ... >=20 >> there's probably more out there but why am I doing the legwork for = you? >=20 > I did NOT ask for a list of Gopher clients that rendered your page > properly.
