  So, why should a gopher client support ANSI terminal codes?  Yes, there
are some gopher clients that do.  Some do not.  Some use some very old
clients out there because gopher is *much* easier to support than HTTP or
even Gemini.  And it wouldn't surprise me if people out there are using
non-ANSI escape code terminals.

  There have been proposals to "fix" gopher.  I proposed one to add a
redirection notice to gopher:

  I don't think it got much uptake.  There are people who think gopher
should be run over TLS and do so, but personally, I think such people are
misguided about the issues it can cause.

  Maybe there isn't much to say about gopher at this time.  What should we
talk about?

  So why do you care?  If you already talked about it, post the links.  Get
a constructive conversation started, instead of insulting us with trash
like:

  BE the community you want instead of tasking US with enteriaining you.
