Hello Heiko,
You asked for the configuration to see if this can be improved.
My cousin has a small company with:
- 6 PC's (Windows 2000)Pentium III and IV
- 1 PC as fileserver (Windows 2000)
- these 7 PC's are connected in a small LAN
- we use NETOP for remote maintenance (like PC-anywhere)
On this LAN the mail-server HAMSTER should work.
Besides these 7 PC's, there is also a seperated PC for Internet (with
antivirus and firewall software)
The riscs for a virus attack was found te be too serious (with
experience), so we have seperated both systems.
It would be nice if everybody could send and receive mail directly
from the Internet, but that is too riscy perhaps.
Could we use 2 installations of HAMSTER (LAN and Internet)?
The Internet PC is switched off most of the time.
Greetings,
Jos
