Mail-to-News

I need to keep track of a heavy-traffic mailing list, and I remember
that it's possible to convert e-mails into news format (so that they
can be read by a newsreader in threaded fashion) by some trick in
Hamster. I have been a Hamster user for years and, years ago, I
implemented such a converted list in my computer. But I forgot how to
do it, and cannot find any reference among my old files (I have since
changed systems, and I am likely to have disposed of them)

I did some research on the Web, and found a couple of pointers, plus
the electronic translation text in the Hamster FAQs. I am afraid it
hasn't been clear enough.

I would really appreciate guidance or, if this were too troublesome or
not possible, direction to a website that is a bit clearer than the
ones I've found, if it exists. There is some urgency about this
project, so I would like to apologise in advance if I seem pushy.
