Yahoogroups is more or less shutting down

Hi,

it seems that yahoo groups is shutting down most of its services at the
end of this month and further deleting all content in mid december:

We probably need another home for the mailing list.
In another list there was the suggestion, that groups.io is a migration
endpoint with importing capabilities.
However, I assume we need an owner of the mailing list to switch over.
