I'm sorry, I had been told a while back (when I first tried to move from 
0.3.x to 0.4.x) that as long as I avoided the .rpm files, I wouldn't 
have to worry about specific versions of stuff.  I'll see if I can find 
in the docs what versions are required and see if I can upgrade them.  
Here's what I currently have.

automake --version
automake (GNU automake) 1.4-p5

autoconf --version
Autoconf version 2.13

libtool --version
ltmain.sh (GNU libtool) 1.4 (1.920 2001/04/24 23:26:18)
